The course is designed for language professionals (Project Managers, Engineers, Vendor Managers, Quality Managers, Operations Managers, company owners) who wish to:

• Fasttrack their knowledge of Machine Translation Technologies, Processes and Best Practices

• Implement real-life Machine Translation Programs or Solutions, for their Teams, Specific Clients, or Specific Domain or Content Types

• Become the go-to person for MT solutions (internal expert) within their operations team

• Learn how to evaluate the quality of MT output, and how to train MT engines to improve the quality of the output

• Be able to clearly communicate expectations around quality, service levels, price discounts and post-editing best practices to translators (post-editors) and reviewers – and to be able to evangelize and incentivise translators to participate in MT projects and workflows

• Advise their managers and internal teams about how to benefit from MT and AI now and in the future

The course will start on Thursday October 12th, time: 16.00 CET, and will continue each Thursday for 6 weeks.

The course is comprised of 6 online sessions, each lasting 1.5 to 2 hours each. There will be time after each session for questions and discussion around the topic covered each week.

The sessions will take place at the same time every week.

Each participating company will also benefit from a personalised company consultation with Laura where they can discuss challenges or questions specific to their business.

The course costs 2400 Euro in total.

Early bird price is 2000 Euro.

Payment should be made by October the 12th before the course commences.

Session slides will be available, as well as templates and other useful handouts. Recordings will be available after each session upon request for up to one month. 

No, but the students will be offered “homework” to do after each session and they will be encouraged to contact Laura if they have any issues, questions while performing the assigned tasks. 

Note: homework is totally voluntary.
